He had become use to living by himself since he'd left his home in Georgia. His head tipped slightly to the side as he looked to the blaring clock on his desk side table. Numbered large enough that he could read it without his glasses, Jonathan shook his head slightly, and continued to mix the chemicals together, it was another version of his fear gas, this one was still in the experimental state, he knew how to make a dose that would steal away the mind, but that wasn't the purpose of this version, he wanted to see if he could scare someone by lining a horror novel with it. It would be something worth studying.
Neon blue letters told him it was 3:45 and he took his glasses off and rubbed his eyes. He wasn't use to being up so late. The voice in the back of his head disagreed of course but Jonathan, tried to not listen to it if he could manage, it wasn't the safest path for him to take, since the Scarecrow, something he'd known since a boy, was no lurking stronger than ever.
You know, you should be more careful with such chemicals, you might damage your brain, that would be a true tragedy, wouldn't it Jonny boy ? the voice asked him. The young man sighed and didn't speak aloud to it, his jaw clenched and he went back to writing the formula, in the cookbook. It was where he kept most of his things, who would think to look for plans in someone's cook book ?
Jonathan returned his attention to what he was doing and by the time four am had rolled around, he was done. He sealed it up to make sure there was no leakage, and he disposed of his gloves, and the wrappers to various elements he'd used. He had also made a cure to the new toxin, he had learned his lesson with Batman, exposing him to his own mixture, and was smart enough to never, ever allow that to happen again.
He noticed a shadow outside the window, that roughly had a humanoid form. Causing him to stiffen slightly, if that was the mob again, he was going to hurt someone, they might not be intimidated by him, but they had learned to fear him. Jonathan was not in one of the higher apartments, when he was dressed for a nights work he rather liked being able to jump from his balcony, to get to the ground. That also made it fairly easy for someone to reach his balcony in turn.
Jonathan adjusted the sleeves to his jacket, and had to whisper a soft. [orange]"Will you be silent ?'[/orange] to the voice pounding in his head.
They should not be trying to scare us, Jonny Boy, they should not be here. You should scare them, terrify them, make them understand we won't be pushed around, that they can't do this to us, and certainly not nearly as well." crowed the Scarecrow, which made his eyes narrow, he was almost agreeing with that voice in his head.
[orange]"Scare tactics don't work, I have perfected most of them."[/orange] he said to the shadow on the balcony.[orange]'You may as well show yourself."[/orange]

He had worked with Ras Al Ghul and he was certainly one of the only people in the City she could think of that might be able to helpe her. She had been double crossed by someone, the thing was it had to have been someone who was aware of her position as a member of the League. Her thigh throbbed like a tooth ache might. It wasn't the first time she'd ever been shot. However before this it had been grazing shots.
The expensive part of town, would of course be the place Jonathan lived. Anahi knew this only because she had been protection at one point in time, assigned by the Demonshead to watch over the chemist. She couldn't walk in through the front door, they'd charge her money for dripping blood on there extravagantly expensive carpet, and Anahi didn't want to go to the hospital, she wanted to desperately stay away from Gotham General. The less people knew of her damage the better, who knew what was going on with the attack she'd suffered.
She was lucky to still be able too walk.
Anyone trying to manauver a climb in a dress like that, had to be either very foolish or down right crazy, at this point she blamed blood loss. Anahi knew she made a moving target because it caused more warm blood to trickle down her leg from the way she exercised her leg. She hissed softly in pain, and when she heard the cool, and fearless voice on the inside, she couldn't help but smile, ever how faint it might be.
"I am not here to scare you doctor, I think it would be irrelevant to try, don't you ?" her breathing came in soft little gasps, and she rested her head to the brick wall next to the double doors. "I wasn't trying to hide myself, I just thought that I would have better control than I do...Sorry about not calling first, my purse was snatched." she whispered.

He frowned and the voice in the back of his head answered him quietly almost smug in its tone, which was enough to infuriate Jonathan at well himself. Maybe it's one of Ras's goons come back to make sure you pay for what happened."
[/i] the Scarecrow told him and for a few moment Jonathan wished he had his mask, but he was just as potent at scaring people without it. He had not failed Ras his part in the mess had gone as planned, oh aside for the crazy man in the bat suit, spraying the equally crazy man in a scarecrow mask. He mused to himself. There assassin's what do you expect from them, Jonny Boy ?" [/i] the voice all but purred and Jonathan hissed softly as he heard the voice, it was a girl's voice, and one Jonathan actually recognized. "Anahi ?" he asked startled at first, and than he moved to open the door to peek out. Oh down loverboy, you know she thinks of you as a professor, a bookworm, likely a nerd. the voice scolded him, and Jonathan almost blushed at it, but he stepped out onto the flats of his balcony, he was certain if something or someone attacked him they would be in for a dreadful surprise, because Jonathan Crane was only partly there, the doctor was half on his way out the door. The sight of the pretty blonde in the shadows of his house, did give him a faint smile, and he shook his head to her. "I figured you would be on your way back to Tibet, after Ghul's passing." he offered up, until he detected something on the wind a scent of something. He body tensed. blood The Scarecrow recognized it quicker than Jonathan himself would have. I think your little friend is hurt.[/green] the voice spoke and Jonathan visiably nodded his head to the words only his mind could hear. "That's quiet alright, I was up anyways." he told her, and looked her over, he debated what to do. Ice blue eyes seemed to evaluate the young woman in front of him, and Jonathan sighed, and ignored what this was going to do to his suit, he stepped foward, swiftly with intent, scooping her up into his arms. "Forgive me, Ana but this has to be done." he said and Caught the door with the heel of his leather shoes, and pulled it shut behind him, dropping the shades.
"I am going to help you, but you are going to tell me what happened, and why you are still in Gotham, am I clear?" he demanded as he set her down on the couch, and placed a blanket under her. 'Clearly you were shot for some reason." he said as he met her eyes. "So, Miss.Darkk share with the class." he used the tone he'd used when he'd been a Professor of Psychology.
