GENERAL CHARACTER TRAITS;
Out of everyone in Gotham, Jim may be the most dedicated public servant in clearing the streets of Gotham of its resident scum bags. He’s a family man, and highly respects those values that come with being a husband and a father. He’s also under the impression that it’s all up to him and Batman, and he is rarely seen not working. Though he loves his family deeply, he sometimes loves work more.
He seems ignorant of the fact that while his absences at home increases, it puts incredible strain upon both his wife and his children. Despite the fact he thinks about them every second of every day, his presence is what is truly desired.

CHILDREN; James Gordon Jr., Barbara Gordon Jr.
PARENTS;Robert and Jeanne Gordon
SIBLINGS;Roger Gordon
EDUCATIONAL HISTORY;High School, College (degree in Criminal Justice)
BACKGROUND STORY;
Gordon was born and raised in Gotham, and still remains. He went to high school at Gotham Central High, where he graduated with passable grades. He then attended a local university, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Like clockwork he was accepted into the training program at the Gotham Police Department. After his training he took up the role of a beat cop. Though he desired nothing more than to clean up the streets, his fellow cops and the administration was corrupt to the core, and threw a real wrench into his work. He was one of the only honest cops upon the force when he started.
A couple years into his job, he met, and then promptly married Barbara, who he still remains married to. They have two children together, James Jr. and Barbara Jr.
After his allegiance with Batman, he was promoted from beat cop to sergeant, and eventually to lieutenant. He was the head of the MCU, a prestigious position where he finally believed he was getting real work done.
When the Commissioner was poisoned, Jim was the obvious choice to succeed him, but after a mishap at the Commissioner's funeral, he had to play dead in order to protect his family. After rescuing Batman and putting Joker in custody, the mayor officially promoted him to the title he holds today, Commissioner.

James Gordon sat idly at his desk, tapping his pencil against his cheek. Things were slow, though he knew cry still had Gotham in a death grip. It seemed that despite the fact he was willing to go out there and clean things up, there were people above him who were against the idea. Jim was contemplating his usefulness, but he was suddenly alerted by the woman. "I'll go," he offered, already getting up and whipping his leather jacket off of his swivel chair. "Apt. 19B?" he asked for clarification.
Checking his holster, he nodded affirmatively towards the woman. He was still getting used to the feeling of having a gun on his hip, but the more time it spent the more Jim believed he was always meant to have it with him. Striding out of the office, he headed over to his squad and jumped in. With a squeak of rubber he was gone, his lights flashing, sirens warning of his approach.
